In 2014, after securing the necessary permits and with the community’s support, construction of Hotel Las Islas began. The bungalows, for example, were built using sustainable materials and strategically located to minimize environmental impact. Finally, in 2018, Hotel Las Islas opened to the public, offering 54 bungalows spread across 28 hectares of land.
